So. Miyabi's feelings are breaking out. And ~PHANTASM~ is breaking out onto the major music scene. Hence the title of this track! There are probably other associations with the title buried within the last 51 pages too, but I'll let you lovely readers explore and unravel those. ^_~

Anyway, working on this track presented some special challenges. For one thing, taking a month off to visit Japan when I wasn't certain of the direction I wanted to take things was difficult, but luckily I was able to focus and figure things out once I got back home. And trying to figure out how to balance things between the characters (including the new characters introduced) was hard too. I had to cut some ideas, move some things for later, and ultimately came up with some things I was absolutely not expecting! But in the end it all managed to work and the story is progressing along in a way I'm satisfied with.

One thing I really like about track 14 is that I think it shows growth and development of the characters. Particularly, Miyabi. He's starting to realize things, think about things, regret things... he's progressing and it's wonderful. Yumi too I think, in that for one thing, she isn't quite so shy now about making out with her boyfriend! ^_^; The tongue no longer freaks her out, and she actually felt... turned on! *gasp* And then there's Toshio. We heard a bit about his family woes, and of course we'll learn more about those later. And I'll always remember how uncomfortable I felt about posting page 48 by itself, so I had to post page 49 along with it because I just knew everyone would think a certain thing about Toshio, which page 49 showed to be quite the opposite! And Akito. Poor, poor Akito... at least he got to take Yayoi out for ice cream. The whole being single thing is hard for him, which I tried to illustrate in track 14. My friend pointed out how when everyone else was looking hot and fine at the ~PHANTASM~ concert, he was more casual in a hoodie... perhaps symbollic of his borderline depression about being single. But don't worry too much about the boy, he definitely will be happily in a relationship soon.

Also I gotta say that I LOVE drawing Musashi's belly!!! She's supposed to be like 5ish months, so if I drew her a tad too big... well, she's just one of those women that grows out, I guess! Cannot wait to draw more belly, and to include more about her pregnancy in the story. I'm still crazy about Musashi and Shuya; they're my favorite couple in TWTYH. ^_^ Definitely want to dedicate more screen time to them in upcoming pages! Speaking of which, I also meant to show the ~PHANTASM~ gang (both the boys and the girls) more in track 14, but I couldn't fit it in. -_- Alas. Later though!!
